Activities were presented that <strong>promoted eco-tourism<\/strong> and led at the same time to <strong>benefits of locals<\/strong>. In addition, there was a presentation and evaluation of companies, which sustainably work in tourism and are part of CETS, including our long-standing <strong>cooperation partner OCEANO<\/strong>.<br \/>\nFurthermore, future demands and problems as well as possible sustainable solutions were collected and discussed. It was important for M.E.E.R. e.V. to be present at the meeting.We actively contributed to the exchange, and took this opportunity to draw attention to the <strong>problems caused by fast ferries<\/strong>. Moreover, we were able to refer to M.E.E.R. e.V.\u00b4s <strong>MPA report<\/strong> (Model for a Marine Protected Area designed for sustainable Whale Watching Tourism off the oceanic Island of La Gomera, details <a href=\"https:\/\/m-e-e-r.de\/en\/research\/publications\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here&#8230;<\/a>).
